As programme director, Daan is responsible for the design and progress of the eight-year programme. He brings extensive experience in various roles in the public domain. In recent years, he worked at the municipality of Amsterdam as Director of Research, Information and Statistics.
In this role, he worked driven by an ideal and a vision of how the municipality can work smarter and better and use digitalisation in a creative and user-oriented way. That vision also focused on how to become less dependent on Big Tech, develop knowledge and skills yourself and make good solutions reusable. These are particularly relevant issues that are also relevant to the Digitalisation Impulse for Education.
Berent Daan also worked as an councillor for Education in Purmerend, among other things. He studied Computer Science, Mathematics and Informatics at Delft University.
About his work for Npuls, Daan says: “This role is a fantastic task that can have a great impact on the quality, flexibility and accessibility of education in the Netherlands.”
We look forward to a good collaboration.
