Lithuanian education delegation visits Npuls
A delegation from the Lithuanian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, led by Deputy Minister Regina Valutyté, and several education professionals from Lithuania paid a working visit to Npuls on September 21st. The visit was part of an initiative by the Lithuanian ministry, which is working to establish a national system for the systematic development, assessment and recognition of educational competences in tertiary education.

“We leave not only with new insights and knowledge, but also with fresh inspiration, new perspectives, and a strong desire to continue learning, sharing, and creating together.”
Visit to a CTL
During a visit to Utrecht University’s CTL, the focus was on the organization, funding and importance of strategic communication from the CTL’s perspective. CTLs support educational professionals in their development and work together to build knowledge about what works in education. Thus, not every institution has to reinvent the wheel. A workshop involving various CTL teams provided an opportunity for an in-depth exchange of case studies and asking questions.
Valuable opportunities
During the session on the competence profile for support staff, the Lithuanians were given a first look at the Teaching Support Self-Assessment. René Muès, the organizer from Npuls, said that it was valuable to exchange views on the positioning of support staff and to see how this is handled in Lithuania. In both countries, the positioning, clarification and structural integration of support staff require special attention within the institutions.
