Team DTO
The new team consists of various assessment experts and educational professionals, with their own roles in front of and behind the scenes. Think of theme line leaders, leaders for mbo, hbo and wo, mbo connector, knowledge broker, community manager and project managers and supporters. You can find the complete team on the page Digital Assessment.
Theme line leaders DTO
We would like to be the first to introduce the theme line leaders. They will coordinate and organise work sessions, projects and events that contribute to the digital assessment transformation in the coming year. You will therefore see their faces and names regularly:
Amber de Wilde
Amber is the leader of the theme line Assessment from Vision. Within this theme line, we want to support institutions and study programmes in formulating their vision on assessment so that they can use it to create a solid foundation for designing the testing process. We do this partly by further developing and deploying the Vision Tool, a discussion tool with which teams discuss their vision on assessment based on propositions. Amber has experience as an educational advisor and project leader within various educational institutions and last year she also worked as project leader of digital assessment at SURF.
Sandra Broekman
Sandra is leader of the theme line Assessment and Learning. This theme line focuses on the perspective on assessment. Whereas assessment used to be primarily used to conclude a learning process (assessment of learning), the emphasis is shifting to the formative aspect, where assessment is used to reinforce the learning process. More and more educational institutions are embracing this shift, but are looking for guidance on how to implement it. Within this theme line, we investigate what a successful implementation can look like and start formulating process handles for educational institutions that want to organise this well. Sandra works at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, where she is responsible for educational innovation in the field of assessment and learning, such as working with e-portfolios and smart assessments.
Evelien Westerbeek van Eerten
Evelien leads the Digital Assessment & Examinations theme line. In this theme line, we work on knowledge sharing and solutions for the design of processes around examining and assessment. By collecting existing practices, we provide insight into the points of interest in the use of BYOD versus institution-managed devices and the ethical aspects of BYOD deployment. We also offer tools for improving the policy, organisation and process of digital examination and assessment. Evelien works as process coordinator Digital Examination at Radboud University.
Ilonka van Meenen
Ilonka is leader of the theme line Controle over the assessment landscape. This theme line aims to make testing processes more transparent, among other things by working on reference architectures and examining where the use of open standards is desirable. In addition, with the projects in this theme line we want to contribute to the quality of digital support and invest in the use of open source solutions. Furthermore, we are concerned with the deployment of software in line with public values, and standardising data exchange and open test and question banks. Ilonka works at the ExamCentre of Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) as application manager of TestVision and Schoolyear, among others. She is also responsible for the further development of the BKE / SKE processes within the Centre for Teaching and Learning at BUas.
