CTL subsidies awarded in second round

April 9, 2025

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science has announced that 22 new subsidy applications have been approved in the second round of applications for the CTL scheme.

On 8 April 2025, OCW announced that 22 new CTL subsidy applications had been approved. These institutions had submitted applications during the second application round of the CTL scheme. In September, they will start the second CTL guidance programme offered by Npuls.

The CTL subsidy provides institutions with financial support for setting up or further developing their Centre for Teaching & Learning (CTL). All institutions that have been awarded the subsidy participate in the Npuls guidance programme. Institutions that do not receive a subsidy in this round also have the opportunity to participate in this programme.

Grants

DUS-I has published an overview of the institutions that have been awarded funding in the second round. Npuls as an organisation was not involved in the assessment of the grant applications. This was carried out by an independent assessment committee.

Third round

Preparations for the third round are in full swing. The aim is to open the third round for new applications in October of this year. Keep an eye on our website, LinkedIn channel and the DUS-I website for further updates on this. For inspiration about CTLs, take a look at our YouTube channel. Various speakers and institutions share their knowledge and experiences during the CTL webinars. Starting in May, there will also be monthly CTL consultation hours where institutions can submit their questions.

Feedback on applications

During the CTL webinar on 13 May, there will be an opportunity to ask questions about the grant applications. As in the May 2024 webinar, DUS-I (the grant scheme administrator) and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (the grant provider) will join in to share the findings of the assessment committee and lessons learned from previous rounds.

We continue to build together

Many institutions are already enthusiastically building (or further developing) their CTLs, and there is increasing national connectivity. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with and support for educational institutions. In this way, we are working together to build a strong national knowledge infrastructure.
